About Our Classes

At the Heston Wellness Centre we provide the following complementary therapies and gentle exercise practices:

Yoga (including chair-based yoga and gentle yoga, to improve flexibility, balance, strength, and mental wellbeing) Meditation (guided sessions to promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and support mental health)

Breathwork (techniques such as Buteyko breathing to improve respiratory function, oxygenation, and calmness)

Zumba Gold (low-impact, fun dance-based fitness to boost cardiovascular health and mood). Taught by two Zumba Gold qualified instructors, Daljeet Patel and Diego Leal.

Muscular conditioning and strength training (gentle exercises focused on building muscle tone and functional strength safely) Postural therapy (specialised approaches, including the Muscle Balance and Function system, to correct alignment, alleviate pain, and improve posture)

Relaxation techniques (incorporated into sessions to aid stress relief, better sleep, and emotional wellbeing)

Tai Chi and Qi Gong (slow, mindful movements to enhance coordination, circulation, stress reduction, and overall vitality)

We teach these in our £1 per session classes tailored for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, isolated individuals, and those with disabilities or limited mobility.

These therapies are delivered in a supportive, community setting with an emphasis on accessibility, often using chairs or adapted movements to ensure inclusivity.

The primary focus is on chair yoga and similar gentle practices for seniors, funded by grants and donations to keep them affordable.

This range allows us to address both physical and mental aspects of health, contributing to the relief and prevention of sickness in line with our charitable purposes.
